In 9 days my baby boy is turning 2!! Where does the time go?

Gosh time sure seems to be flying by way to fast! Seems just like yesterday Hunter was completing our family.

And to think it all started here...pretty incredible to have a picture like this to show Hunter one day how much his mommy and daddy loved him and wanted him so badly!

Well lets see whats been going on lately at our house...I have been busy planning and finishing up all the last minute things for Hunter's birthday party.  This year Hunter picked out "Thomas the Train" as his invite theme and seem only appropriate because this kiddo is obsessed with "choo-choo" as he calls them.  We have train tracks near our house that occasionally run trains during the day and night and he will stop dead in his tracks when he hears the whistle. I love this age so much.  Also, Hunter has become obsessed watching Elmo on Sesame Street and the Elmo's World DVD's.  I never really restricted TV from him as a baby/toddler because he never showed any interest at all.  Boy that has changed now in the past couple weeks at our house now I am having to put some time frames down because he would literally sit there in a trance the entire day if I would let him.

Along with almost turning 2 Hunter is talking up a storm more and more each day.  My favorite word right now that he says is "Cha-Cha" aka...chocolate milk.  He also now knows how to say his own name if you ask him and he can tell you how old he is now "twooo" lol.  We are working on colors and counting at home and frightening as it is he keeps showing more and more signs for potty training.  We have a family trip to Fort Walton Beach/Destin in May so I am planning on waiting till at least after that and hopefully focus on potty training this summer/end of summer. Hunter finishes up "Mothers Day Out" mid May and starts up his next semester in September so it would be prefect to get that accomplished before then.  I cannot wait to not have to buy diapers anymore!!  They have such cute little boys underwear too=)

Ryan just recently found out that based on his sales performance for 2010 that he is apart of the "Winner's Circle" at Verizon Wireless for his B2B channel.  What that means for us is... the company is flying us to Austin and paying for a night at a beautiful golf/spa resort.  They let us chose an activity from a list that they will pay for and that night there is a formal dinner/awards ceremony.  Ryan and I chose to go the massage and then relax at the spa the rest of the day until that evening.  We are both really excited and looking forward to our little mini getaway coming up here soon.

The house is slowly coming along considering we will have been in our home for 1 year the beginning of May. We have thankfully (and painfully lol) finished buying all the major furniture pieces to complete the rooms.  We just finished out Ryan's office and got him a new desk and rearranged the room.  It had become our storage room and now I can leave the blinds open and enjoy the pretty room.  I even now have my own desk for my computer and a place to pay bills.  I will post a picture later!! The last room we have left to do is buy a mattress and nightstand for our guestroom.  Down the road I would really love to get a new kitchen table but I don't dare do that until we get past the destructive age and I can trust him a little more with nice pieces of wood furniture.   This summer I think of mission is to work on the backyard and extend our patio, get a lounge outdoor couch/coffee table set and plant shrubs/flowers/trees.  We are still on the fence about getting a hot tub..some days I think we would use it and others I am not sure its worth the investment.  Any opinions?

Well its beautiful outside and grandma is coming over to play so I will wrap it up now!  We have 2 year pictures next Monday so as soon as I get back i will post them on here!  Also crossing my fingers Ryan gets tickets to "The Elmo Show" this weekend for work so hopefully lots of more pics are coming soon!

Hugs!
